The Crown Princess Mary Scholarship
The Crown Princess Mary scholarship was established  in 2004, the same year Frederik and Mary were married, and it was a gift from the University of Copenhagen to the couple. It is given to two Australian students who have been nominated by universities and chosen by the Danish scholarship committee and award, awarded the scholarship which also are given to Danish students.

After a two days visit to Bukina Faso along with Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen, is Mary now back in Denmark again. It was two days packed with stories and impressions from local girls and women who after all the adversity has found a way to survive. The dedication and helpfulness have women have met, strengthens her to see which assures her that what she works for actually does help. She landed in Denmark on Friday and only three hours later she was on the road again, to attended the presentation of this years Crown Princess Mary Scholarship at University of Copenhagen. The scholarship has been handed over since 2004, the same year as it was established. It was a gift from University of Copenhagen to Frederik and Mary on behalf of their wedding. The Crown Princess Mary Scholarship has ever year since been given to two Australian students. With the scholarship follows DKK 10.000. These money are given as financial aid to the students while studying in Denmark. Usually it's easy to find both pictures and articles from the annual events, but this years is different. I only managed to find a few photos as well as articles. Despite the lack of photographers and journalists did Mary arrive to the University of Copenhagen in a great mood. Tempe McMiin and Winifred Knight were the two lucky students to both meet the Crown Princess and receive her scholarship. They were both very happy. In a speech Mary talked about her recent visit to Burkina Faso and how local women need the same opportunity; getting an education. At the same time she praised the two recipients for their hard work.

You really need a trained eye being able to identify what Mary wore during the presentation at the University of Copenhagen, because as I told you only a few pictures have been published in pretty bad quality. But no challenge is too difficult for me, even in a bad quality I'm able to tell you most of what she wore. Three hours before she arrived to hand over the scholarships, she walked around in sheer blouses and sunglasses. It was replaced by long black trousers and a black Prada coat featuring push buttons. This she wore with her white Hugo Boss peplum. A minimalistic but stunning outfit. The black and white look is easy to copy and the shape of the two pieces -blouse and trousers- is always a winner. It is a fantastic combo, both for work and as evening wear. Mary accessorized her outfit with a black Carlend Copenhagen clutch and what I believe is her patent Gianvito Rossi pumps. Am I the only one who just adore the shape of these pumps?! Mary then added some of her favourite Dulong Fine Jewelry jewelleries; a pair of earrings, ring and a white pearl bracelet. All classy pieces. With a stylish "Mary blow out" she rocked this outfit like on one else would.

From the second Mary and Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen arrived to Burkina Faso, all their attention went to those they met from organizations and to local women all shared their story with the two foreigners from Denmark. On the second, and last day, in Burkina Faso Mary and Kristian Jensen be gang the day visiting the Schiphra Center who among other things offers treatment of severe complications do to given birth. Here they were given a guided tour around the maternity ward and operating room to see under which conditions hundreds of women being helped to give birth. It was a really moved Crown Princess from Denmark who sat down and talked with some of the women who have had birth complications and which has been operated at the Schiphra Center. With a short interview with the press, Mary expressed how impressed she was of the dedicated doctors and strong women on the center. With these words, Mary and Kristian Jensen visited the Delwende Center in Ouagadougou. Here live about 250 women who is being accused of being witches. At the Delwende Center these women is protected, get a home, food etc. Lots of personal stories were shared and Mary danced to drum music. She and the Foreign Minister also attended a guided tour to see for themselves some of the activities the women at the center make: spinning of cotton, grain sorting and growing vegetables.

Before they paid a visit at ABBEF in the capital city Ouagadougou, who works to promote access to sexual and reproductive health services, especially for poor and marginalized young people, Mary and the Foreign Minister attended a lunch along with representatives on equality of women's rights in Brukina Faso. At the ABBEF youth information center Mary had an open and honest dialogue with the young people on topics like gender equality, family planning and birth control. Both Danish guests asked about wishes, future, possibilities in life etc. Especially one young man was proud to tell about his future wishes to improve his skills in some of the areas which is on the agenda at Women Deliver. According to Billed Bladet that this young man had especially one wish; to attend Women Deliver. And within seconds Mary invited him attending the conference. It was then suggested that a young lady from the center also had the opportunity to attend. This two days official visit to Burkina Faso ended with a evening reception at the Ambassador's residence.

Day 1: Official Visit to Burkina Faso

Wednesday, April 27th

Crown Princess Mary is on a official visit to Burkina Faso from April 27-28th. She is accompanied by Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen. The visit focuses on girls' and women's sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Frederiketmary.centerblog.net 1

This trip to west Africa, more specific Burkina Faso, was actually scheduled to take place in January earlier this year but because of a terrorist attack in the capital city Ouagadougou, it was decided to postpone the Crown Princess visit. Then suddenly I find out that Mary is on her way to Burkina Faso and is already landed when I hear about the visit. Did it also came as a surprise to you? I can not remember when a visit like this has been canceled but I truly understand the concerns there have been. I think it's good her visit is not forgotten and here we are. Mary arrived yesterday in Burkina Faso to stay there for two days accompanied by Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen. The two of them have on several occasions worked together and be on foreign visits like this which focuses girls' and women's sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as gender inequality and Denmark's development do to aid efforts in the country. Before the departure from Denmark, Kristian Jensen have expressed how pleased he is for the Crown Princess commitment to make a difference. As one of the poorest countries in the world, Burkina Faso is supported by Denmark providing access to among others information about connected to giving birthday and pregnancies such as handling issues like gender equality and violence against women. Denmark's support to Burkinabe families goes back to 1973.

While her husband, Frederik, was visiting the Danish troops in Iraq, Mary met some of the women visiting a local health center in Korsimoro, who had come there for a consultation. With her was Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen. According to Kongehuset.dk was the visit to Korsimoro followed by a visit to a nearby Kamsé village. Here Mary and Kristian Jensen were warmly welcomed and received four chickens and a goat as gifts on behalf of their visit. After a quick change of clothes, the two traveling companions attended a meeting with Burkina Fasos President which took place the presidential palace in Ouagadougou. As one of the last plans, Mary met a young mother at 15 living in Ouagadougou with her two month old daughter. With help from her grandparents, she still manage to go to school. It was simply precious to watch the meeting between the two of them, Mary and the young mother. I think a meeting like this is why Mary find it so important fighting for better and equal opportunities for women and girls. In the evening did the Crown Princess and Foreign Minister attended an official dinner on behalf of their visit to Burkina Faso.

Because I find it less important, I will not be talking much about fashion. Still I know many of you have an interest in knowing all about it anyway. Therefor I decided to only make a reference to what I know. This you find in the bottom on the post as always. I hope you can live with this decision.

"Denmark Eat Together" is created by initiative from People's Movement Against Loneliness, all to create new relationships. More than 60 organizations, schools and companies participates supported by the Nordea Foundation.  It's all about meeting new people, get a good experience and a dinner is a great way to get started. As chairwoman and one of the co-founders of the Mary Foundation, Mary is very much involved in their work which particularly is created to combat domestic violence, bullying and loneliness. Most of these issues the foundation are working with, are often the cause of social isolation which is still a taboo to talk about in Denmark as well as abroad. Mary believes in an open dialogue, that this is the way forward for combating social isolation like loneliness. The last few years loneliness has been on the agenda in Denmark and with that opportunity Mary took action. As one of the most prominent people to "promote" why we need to do a change when it comes to social isolation, she has participated in various conferences, meetings and events just like she attended Denmark Eat Together in Nørebrohallen in Copenhagen, which was organized by People's Movement Against Loneliness. It came as quite a surprise to the other participants to see the Crown Princess when she appeared in the room. The participants were all gathered to, like Mary, show their support in the fight against loneliness and maybe have some personal difficulties. As usual she gave a remarkable speech before the dinner was served. She told how important it is to her and her family to enjoy dinner together; it is the place to share a days experiences, tell and listen. Despite it's not that easy to get anyone to listen when you have four children. A dinner is where you get the chance to get together and meet friends and family. A diner is a social thing. If you master Danish, I think you should take the time and read her speech, here. Both Mary, the director of the Mary Foundation and all the participants seemed to really enjoy the evening together. These dinners were severed all over the country on Monday evening.

Not loud at all, Mary was really casual dress when she attended Denmark Eat Together in Nørebrohallen. I just received some better quality photos shared on the Mary Foundation's web side which clearly showed a relaxed style Mary. I think she is wearing some kind of silver knitted sweater with a rather big black blazer, both new to me. Any idea which designers we are dealing with? She wore this with a pair of skinny black jeans and some new Julie Fagerholt Heartmade (SS16) chelsea boots. These were identified by the one and only Kate! In a way I like this combo but something is disturbing me, do you have the same feeling? I love to see her wear more casual and cool outfits. The first thing I spotted was her Bottega Veneta bag, worn a million times before and still looks absolutely classy. Never think this will go out of style. Always trendy. Secondly I noticed she was wearing earrings but they were hard to ID because of her hair getting in front of them on all photos. But now there is no doubt in my mind, it's her Louise Grønlykke earrings (of course!). These she matched with one diamond band and one golden leaves ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen which seems to favourite combination right now. And I adore it! Her makeup and hair were all natural, just the way we like it. If you should choose one item from this outfit, which one would she pick? -I would differently take the golden leaves ring!

Day of Research 2016 / Forskningens Døgn 2016

Monday, April 25th
Crown Princess Mary attended, as patroness, the official grand opening of Day of Research 2016 (Forskningens Døgn 2016). Here she presented the Research Communication Award 2016. It all took place in the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen.

Day of Research / Forskningens Døgn 2016
Since 2005 we have had Day of Research / Forskningens Døgn which is a national science festival with about 65,000 participants every year. Here science is communicated through lectures, exhibition, debates and examples which are organized by among others universities and research institutions. Read more here.

On the Day of Research is the Research Communication Award presented and given to that Danish researcher who has been able to disseminated her or his research and knowledge to a wide audience. The receiver also get DKK 100.000. Read more here.

The setting was a little different then what Mary is use to when she's on a job because yesterday, when she as patron attended the Day of Research 2016 (Forskningens Døgn 2016) both to open the festival and to hand over the Research Communication Award 2016 which is called the Forskningskommunikationsprisen in Danish. All of this and much more took place at the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen, where several professors and prominent figures from the Zoological Museum were invited along with Mary as the guest of honor. Day of Research is organized by the Education- and Research Ministry. Ready to take part in the opening, Mary arrived at 10:00 am local time, received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and was warmly welcomed. Shortly after her arrival, she entered the stage and gave an opening speech followed by a speech professor and psychologist Barbara Hoff Esbjørn who received this years Research Communication Award for her work and research anxiety disorders in children. Mary and Education and Research Minister Ulla Tørnæs then visited four different parts of the festival including topics as mushrooms and DNA. All of it seemed to have her sincere interest while walking around the festival in the rooms of Zoological Museum. These four projects is a part of the citizens science, where citizens contribute their knowledge and collect data that is processed by researchers. Among others Mary was impressed to hear that there are over 50 ant species. With the knowledge I have, I believe she has been participating this festival since the inauguration in 2005.

Well, nothing special about the weather in Denmark right now. As you all know we're in April, close to spring and summer warm days but the Danes have both rainy, windy, sunny even snowy days. It is cold and foggy. Such weather takes both woolen coats and knitted scarfs, just to keep a little warm. Mary is known to be a woman attending events in bare legs and thin coats this time a year. It was kinda what we saw yesterday, a combo. Not in a million year I would have bare legs and wear a skirt right now! But our cool Crown Princess isn't afraid of cold weather. She was dressed in lots of different shades of white, a shawl and some other interesting accessories. The blouse is seen before both in white and navy blue but I still have not been able to make an ID on where it's from. Unfortunately. Have you found anything that might help me identify it? The A-line skirt is a classic model from DAY Birger et Mikkelsen seen once before when she attended the Loving Measure event. This skirt is now also a part of my Mary-wardrobe and I simply love it! Found by Kate I know who designed her huge white cape featuring coloured details which is from Ganni. I had some difficulties whether she wore a shawl or a poncho, both featuring the same print. With a little help from a dear friend of mine, she pointed about a significant thing about the fringes, I have come to the conclusion: Mary is wearing Ganni's poncho. Both earrings and lovely white pearl bracelet are from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Beautiful details but to be honest, what I love better is her two rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen to this outfit. A golden leaf ring and a diamond band. Smashing! When we are talking about accessories I can't wait to talk about that fabulous snake skin belt. Does anyone of you remember it? One of the first times we have seen her wear this belt was in an interview from 2005 published in Australian newspapers because their visit had been announced. Lovely photos! With the help from Mary from the start I found these pictures to share with you. Quite some years later, in 2012, she wore it again. You now remember it? To match the rest of her look she wore a pair of nude leather pumps from Prada and some kind of suede clutch. Looks like her Hugo Boss clutch but on that you see their logo which is no the case with this one. Any thought?

Congratulations Princess Isabella!!!

Today, nine years ago the most wonderful little princess was born at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen and on June 1st 2007 she was named Princess Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe. She has become an even more sweet young lady. Today Princess Isabella celebrate her 9th birthday. Crazy how fast time runs by! On occasion of her birthday three new photos have been published taken by her mother Crown Princess Mary on April 19th in their home at Amalienborg Palace. I have made a little collection of my favourite photos of the Crown Prince couple's first princess. Styleofmary would like to wish Isabella the best of luck and a happy birthday!

Covering Eurowoman This Month

This month Mary is on the cover of the Danish magazine Eurowoman. She was interview to talk about her commitment to humanitarian work and the fact that Denmark will host the world's largest global conference on health, rights and wellbeing of girls and women "Women Deliver" in May. I heard about this special edition on Monday, since then I have been looking so much forward to today when I finally was able to purchased it. The interview is 20 pages long, including lots of wonderful new photos of the Crown Princess in her office at Amalienborg Palace, where she is surrounded by orchids, pictures of her children, stacks of books neatly placed on a round table and lots of home decors in her favourite colour: purple. I haven't yet read the interview, only studied the photos but it's something I really look forward to. The same magazine with two different covers are published today -the first one (black & white) for subscribers and second for everybody else. So for all your Mary-lovers it's your chance to get a piece of Mary to your collection. I can't wait to read the article!

Looking at her style, she showed us some brand new items both clothes and accessories but also old goodies. A very modern and simple style, clean lines and only a few pieces of jewellery. Just as the photos are adorable, her outfits are incredible. This is what I love so much about Mary; she is a true trendsetter (to me) and a hardworking woman who is trying to do a difference to other people. Despite her title and status, it's her personality that defines who she is.

Have a lovely evening everybody!

A lovely day to celebrate our wonderful Queen! Like every other year thousands of Danes were gathered in front of Amalienborg Castle, in Copenhagen, to get a glimpse of the many royal family members and of course to celebrate Queen Margrethe on her 76th birthday. I have never had the chance, yet, to be their myself but I think it's quite a unique atmosphere standing among thousands of people and waving flags. I hope some day I will get the chance and maybe get my own pictures, that would be cool. For many years this "balcony ceremony" has been a tradition and I believe it is something the Danes look very much forward to, a special way to show your love for the royal family. I hope the tradition will continue when Frederik and Mary become King and Queen of Denmark but I think so. Frederik is a modern but also very traditional man. It was around 12:00 pm local time Queen Margrethe, dressed in the most amazing blue suit, stepped out on the balcony as the first one followed by her husband Prince Henrik. Shortly after, both her sons stepped out on each their own balcony with their families which now is now equal in family members -Frederik and Mary with their four children on the left, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie with their two children and Joachim's two boys from his marriage with Alexandra. Watching pictures made me realize how much I adore this family. I feel lucky to have such a family representing Denmark. It's really a nice way to see all of them together. Because we not that often get to see Christian, Isabella, Vincent and Josephine I was delighted to see them again. And Princess Athena, the daughter of Joachim and Marie, has really grown up since I have seen her. A beautiful little young lady has she become. Despite the weather forecast, the sun was shining when Margrethe stepped out on the balcony.

After four times on the balcony; first with her husband, then with her eight grandchildren, then with her two sons and they wives and last but not least one more time with Prince Henrik before they went inside to enjoy a well serviced dinner.

I'm sure you all noticed Mary! Well who wouldn't because of that amazing new fuchsia coat. She lightened up as no other in the crowd. I love that we get to see her wear some colours, finally. I know it's very natural for her to wear colours and she wear these bright colours perfectly. Luckily we are getting closer to spring which often means more colourful and printed clothes. Because the coat was the only new item she wore today, my deepest wish was to identify where it's from. With some help from my dear Kate I can tell you that GOAT is the designer who created this magnificent coat, I truly hope we'll get to see soon again. Isn't it beautiful? Both skirt and blouse have we seen before, at several event Mary has worn exactly this combination with the blouse, skirt and think snake skin belt - at a visit to Canada and Germany. You might also remember that the blouse is from Elise Gug (2013), featuring a lovely white pearl as button, and the black skirt is from Signe Bøgelund-Jensen, two amazingly talented Danish designers. The belt I have never been able to identify but there is also only very little to go for when trying to find it. Maybe you are more lucky than me. Looking for photos of her where you actually see her shoes, hasn't been easy. I suggested she wore her snake skin pumps from Christian Louboutin because of previous events and the fact that she wore a snake skin belt. Finally I've been so lucky to find a photo where you see a glimpse and it is her Louboutin pumps she's wearing! Then we have her stunning Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and ring both featuring a white pearl. Lovely matching the button of the blouse. So classy with white pearls! Standing out, we have the large brooch on her chest. One great look.

And now I think it's about time I congratulate the Queen on her birthday. Wishes from Styleofmary!

By the way; the next few days I will post about her two previous visits on April 15th. Now you know.

At the Olympic Qualification Tournament "Danish Open" in Bellahøj

It is unusual that they participate in each other's events without its being published in advance. But this time was an exception because Frederik accompanied his wife when she as patron of Danish Swimming Federation (Dansk Svømmeunion) the Olympic qualification tournament "Danish Open" at swimming stadium in Bellahøj. Actually it came as a surprise to everyone that Frederik accompanied Mary. I was so exited when I found out that both of them were attending. I always enjoy watching them attending events together. They arrived in the afternoon, both in a great mood ready to follow greet the team of swimmers before the couple found their seats with a good view. Despite it was a official visit, all acted like it was more or less a private visit. Usually photographers and journalists go crazy. Not this time. It was all calm. The tournament  helped to find the most skilled swimmer to participate the Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The royal couple closely followed everything that was going on in the swimming stadium, especially were Frederik and Mary excited to followed Pernille Blume when she won her way to the Olympic Games such as swimmer Jeanette Ottesen. According to several media, they both told how much they look forward to followed the games, which Frederik will attend as member the International Olympic Committee shortened to ICO.

Mary was dressed so casual at her and Frederik's attendance in Bellhøj on Friday afternoon. A friend and I talked about, a while ago, about official events where Mary is wearing jeans which really not happened often the 12 years she has been Crown Princess. It can probably be counted on two hands. I think it's because jeans is a little too casual for her attendances, then I love to see her wear them at this event. Jeans is something most of us have -light, dark, wide, slim jeans- and because Mary is such an source of inspiration, we now know how to wear jeans like Mary would do it. She just looks great in a pair of jeans! She matched them with a new, black and white, striped blouse very likely to be from Ralp Lauren (Blue Label) found by Kate. When I searched for more photos, I came across Katescloset and it seems like Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has the exact same blouse. Jeans and a striped blouse is a great combo, especially with the navy Massimo Dutti reversible coat. It surprised me to see her wear these new suede boots. I haven't been able to identify them but they surprises me anyway because I see such boots in a completely other style then hers. I think I see some earrings which could be her diamond studs from Hartmann's. Like earlier the same day when she attended the opening of the new social-and health school, her hairstyle was really simply and youthful. Was it an outfit you would wear?

After a successful state visit of Mexico's President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera who stayed in Denmark for two days. This time Frederik and Mary were both prominent and attended several events the pasts two days with the Presidential couple, they had met on their on state visit to Mexcio in 2013. Wonderful to see them all spend some time together. The following day, on April 15th, Mary was back a work. Around noon, she arrived to Vesterbro in Copenhagen attending the opening of the new social-and health school. With a huge smile on her face, Mary arrived waving  to the Danes who had come to get a glimpse of Denmark's future queen. Taking a quick look at social medias, you will also see that some got the chance to get a photo with her, something she has to get use to because of the popularity of selfies. Meeting the students was absolutely wonderful to follow. From the second she arrived, she was chatting with teachers and students. Because of her own work within the social and health sector, I think it is a pleasure for her to see a new generation, ready to take over and of course take care of those who need it. A lovely sight. Mary entered the stage and gave a great speech talking about the importance of the students work. With that, she had inaugurated a new social-and health school ready to get a tour around classrooms. From videos and pictures taken during her visit, I sense that the Crown Princess was quite a popular guest among the students. Before her visit ended, she sat down like everybody else and participated a dialogue. Listened with great interest and asked questions herself. After two days, with a slightly more rigid facade, I love the way she interacted with the students and teachers. All natural and informal. This is the Mary I would love to meet personally.

Somehow this outfit, from her attendance at the opening of the new social-and health school in Copenhagen, reminds me a lot about her style from earlier years in Denmark. Around the time when she was pregnant with Prince Christian. Maybe it's her hairstyle combined with that coat? Am I completely of my mind? The Prada coat is quite some years old but like always Mary wear it with as much elegance and pride as the first time she wore it. The one I remember is from 2010 at the annual opening ceremony of the Danish parliament, when she was pregnant with the twins. A coat featuring a magnificent shape, lovely colours and hemlines. Unfortunately it's no where to find online anymore but I have photos in my personal archive if you want them as proof. She wore it with a pair of black trousers and of course a new pair of pumps! In that stunning yellow colour, they matches her outfits perfectly. I never noticed it before but the coat features the same yellow pattern. I never thought we would get to see Mary in this colour shoes nor that I would like it; but I simply adore them! I can't wait to find my own pair of yellow pumps. What do you say? Hot or not. Matching both shoes and coat, she chose to wear her navy Quidam clutch and earrings that are still unidentified. Also take a look at her beautiful makeup, so natural. I think we here see a modern, feminine and super chic woman!

Crown Princess Mary during the second day among others visiting Ådalen along with Mrs Angélica Rivera

Love that Frederik and Mary are the one to lead this state visit, despite it's Queen Margrethe who host the visit. This means we get to see the couple much more than we use to. Well, you don't hear any complain from me. On their second, and last, day in Denmark H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera had a lot to do; many places to see and lots of people to meet. From early morning, Mary and Mrs Rivera visited the kindergarten Ådalen who used the Mary Foundation's Free of Bullying program. They were both warmly welcomed at the arrival by children standing with each their red and white flag waving in the wind. As the children had both women's attention, all children were amazed by the two women. Mary and Mrs Angélica Rivera were handed over each a wonderful bouquet of flowers. Mrs Rivera seemed to really enjoy the time accompanying Mary on a "regular" visit. Very proud the children showed some of their drawings and told stories. It gave a smile on both women's faces to talk to the kids in Ådalens kindergarten. During the visit, was Mrs Rivera introduced to some of the tools from the Mary Foundation's Free of Bullying program, developed to prevent bullying for children in the age of kindergarten and pre-school. While Mary and Mexico's first lady enjoyed the morning, Frederik and President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto attended a business conference at Danish Industry in Copenhagen, followed by a meeting with Pia Kjærsgård, Chairwoman of the Danish Parliament and with Prime minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen for the President. All four of them arrived at 4:00 pm local time at Tjørnegård school in Gentofte to see LEGO i used in teaching to make it easier, more fun and to strengthen the students' memory. They were all in a brilliant mood and I love to see Frederik and Mexico's President join their wives. Mary and Mrs Rivera were both very popular among the students, who came really close to a future Queen.

Every day that passes we get closer and closer to summer, sun and the time a year it's all right to wear a dress without tights. That's really not something Mary takes very serious because at the most crazy time a year we see her with bare legs and a knee-length dress, just like we did when she and Mrs Rivera arrived to Ådalen kindergarten. Chilly, but she actually looks like she doesn't care. Yesterday we were lucky because she was wearing on of her beautiful, reused Prada dresses. Since the first time, we have seen it several times since -with and without the peplum, which is removable. This time = no peplum but a lovely belt perfectly matching the colour of her dress. In 2014 Mary wore the exact combination with the dress, coat and clutch when the Queen hosted a state visit from Turkey. To keep it classy, she wore a navy blue Quidam clutch and a pair of leather gloves. Like the amazing trendsetter she is, Mary chose her beige/rosa patent pumps from Gianvito Rossi which I think was a fantastic choice! They make a great match to the darker blue dress and of course white Prada coat featuring some pretty details. The funny thing is that I the day before yesterday assumed this was the pumps she wore during the gala dinner at Fredensborg palace but I was completely mistaken. But then the next day, she's actually wearing them! Without getting overdressed, Mary added a large pearl bracelet and a pair of diamond earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry to make her outfit complete. Incredibly stunning! And my compliment, once again, to Mrs. Angélica Rivera because of her matching white, I tend to say, suit.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attending the return dinner at D'Angleterre

To end this official state visit with manner, it was time for President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera to host a return dinner that took place at Hotel D'Angleterre in Copenhagen. 150 guests were invited taking part in the dinner to enjoy a well cooked meal which is the way to say thanks for a couple a great days in Denmark from the Mexican Presidential couple. In order the royal family members arrived; first Princess Benedikte (which by the way wore a really amazing dress!) along with her lady-in-waiting, then Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, Frederik and Mary next and last Queen Margrethe accompanied by her husband Prince Henrik were welcomed by the President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera who waited at the hotel ready to welcome all 150 guests and the royal family. A great way to end a successful state visit!

Like the star she is, Mary arrived dinner time with her lovely husband Frederik dressed perfectly for a dinner like this. I would't hesitate for a single second wearing this outfit for a girls night out or dinner with my family. These printed full midi skirts are incredible popular and so trendy! I'm so lucky to have a similar one in darker colours which I would wear exactly this way. We have seen it, the Ganni skirt, once before at INDEX: Award 2015 worn with the same sleeveless blouse. A pretty combo. Unfortunately I have no ID on the blouse. Not that the lace shawl is warm but I love the fact that we get to see it again. Now it's six years since we have seen it, on a visit to Budapest. The info I have, is that it's from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. Look how beautifully it cover her arms?! Matching the lace shawl, she wore her smashing Gianvito Rossi pumps. What makes this outfit so perfect, are all her accessories. No doubt about that. In two brown colours Mary wore a pair of earrings from Jewlscph, seen before. Both the golden ring and matching bracelet are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Then we have a long Bottega Veneta clutch, we see now and then. I would really love to learn how to make my hair this pretty! Mary is always a movie star with curls, soft curls. Wauw. And that makeup, great for a evening look with red lips gloss and dramatic eye makeup. Adorable way to end a wonderful day.

It was a pleasure to follow the state visit with you girls. Thanks for reading! I'll be back soon with new posts from today attendances. By the way, check out the updated web side of Kongehuset.dk! It's amazing, but something I have to get use to.

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary during the first day in Copenhagen and Helsingør

Finally the time is here and the Mexican Presidential couple has now arrived to Denmark, actually they arrived yesterday at Copenhagen airport around dinner time, in one of the worlds most expensive plains. With music, Mexico's President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera were warmly welcomed by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik and the rest of the Danish royal family -the Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte. Shortly after the welcoming ceremony and all had shaken hands, two crown cars drove to Fredensborg Palace -one with Queen Margrethe and President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and another car with Prince Henrik and Mrs Angélica Rivera, to officially welcome the couple. Like the welcoming ceremony at the airport, this has become a tradition. While the Presidential couple are in Denmark they are staying at Fredensborg Palace in one of the many rooms. In the meantime, Frederik and Mary drove to Kronborg castle in Helsingør and about an hour or so later, President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera arrived to Helsingør. All in a perfect mood the two couples were given a guided tour inside Kronborg to see among others the Banquet Hall, also called the Dancing Hall. Then a little something to drink and of to the M/S Museum of Maritime located close to the water just like the caste. Back in 2013 Frederik and Mary visited Mexico and have already met the Presidential couple once before. Both couples seemed to have had a really good day in each others company.

It was at 1:00 pm. local time the Mexican Presidential couple arrived to Copenhagen airport ready to spend two days in Denmark accompanied by the Danish royal family. In second raw was Mary standing, lightning up like a true royal lady in her ombre Missoni coat! Thrilled to see her wear it already again, I'm sure you remember it from their visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar only a few months ago. Finally I have to say, we saw it without any black trousers. This outfit, she wore at the airport is what I think is a modern princess: a simple, A-line coat and a pair of plane pumps. Always a winner and it works day and night. Because Mary likes to play with her clothes and style, she of course chooses a coat with a stylish colour and pattern. According to Royals & Fashion are Mary's sky high pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi which I think is correct. Each year I think her pumps get higher and higher, unbelievable how she is actually able to walk in those heels but of course it is something learn. I really can't get enough of black pumps, they are super classy and elegant. With a pair of jeans or black trousers they looks so chic! Mary seems to have the same philosophy because of all the different pairs of black pumps. Then we have the little grey/black Naledi Copenhagen clutch which I really think is a great match to what she was wearing. It is one of her first Naledi Copenhagen purchases, now she has the model in several colours and sizes. At the arrival Mary had this beautiful hairdo wearing a hat as well, my guess would differently be a creation from milliner Susanne Juul. To loosen it up, which I think was both great and a shame, she appeared without hat and hairdo when she and Frederik welcomed the Mexican Presidential couple at Kronborg castle in Helsingør a few hours later. I love the length of her hair right now. She accessorized her look with a pair of black leather gloves, some diamond rings from among others Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and pink diamond studs from Hartmann's. Aesthetic, stylish and extremely polished. By the way, I believe she added a Céline belt to create the illusion of an hourglass shape. Can't wait to tell you about her gala dinner outfit, so keep on reading.

I also want to give my sincere compliment to Mrs Angélica Rivera because of her bright green dress, really beautiful!

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary attending the gala dinner at Fredensborg Palace

As a tradition, Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosted a gala dinner in the evening at Fredensborg Palace. As you know Prince Henrik retired in the beginning of 2016, despite that he attended both the welcoming ceremony and yesterday evenings gala dinner which I think was great of him to do. The arrival and the Queen's speech were broadcasted on Danish TV two hours after the actually arrival, which I of course watched. What else would a royalist do when she finds out it's all broadcasted? No, right. One by one did the special guests arrive, ladies in magnificent dresses and gentlemen's in black suits. All cameras were set and ready for the royal family to arrive. First came Princess Benedikte, one of the Queen's sisters, then Prince Joachim and his sweet wife Princess Marie who was dressed in a smashing red lace gown, they were followed by Frederik and Mary whose clothes I will talk much more about. The reason why we didn't see Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik such as the Presidential couple arrive, is because they are all staying at Fredensborg where the dinner is held. Before the dinner, the guests were serviced a glass of champagne then they are met by beautifully decorated tables and golden chairs. From another entrance, the royal family members and the guests of honor found their seats around the long, main table. With a remarkable speech, it was Queen Margrethe who opened the evening and warmly welcomed President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera.

It's not the first time Mary choose to wear something as colour and bright as this at a gala dinner and something a little more plain during the day. This we have seen at several state visits hosted by Denmark. She is truly queen of the night! I was so excited when I first saw what dress she was wearing because she is a master when it comes to wearing her gowns over and over again. It looks new every time we see it. The exact same I think about this bright, red, layer gown designed by Jesper Høvring (SS13) who by the way had to comment on his own dress at yesterdays broadcast. He was very humble and didn't even mention he was the designer. Funny to watch. Back to her dress. As you can read all over the internet, she wore the same dress in 2013 at a dinner on occasion of the coronation of King Wilhelm-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. I'm sure you remember it but you all seems to have forgotten she actually wore the dress at one more occasion before last night; in 2012 when she attended a gala dinner for the wedding of Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy in Luxembourg. Both dazzling outfit! And the third time was no exception. A think we saw a mature Crown Princess Mary wearing an outstanding red gown. She wore it, with her golden glitter pumps from Gianvito Rossi, and brand new golden clutch and her wonderful 'new' tiara -we now know she purchased on an Bruun Rasmussen auction along with a pair of earrings. Thanks to Pernille and Kate to share their discovery with me, because they are both absolutely right about her wearing glitter pumps. Those were not worn last night but a pair we have also seen before. The most incredible about the outfit has to be her hair! When I saw that, I lost my breath... the most beautiful 60s hairstyle. Notice that she's wearing the yellow Mexican order instead of the traditional blue Order of the Elephant, which perfectly matched the yellow flower decorations.
